Outdoor enthusiasts can add another tool to their gear. Sanofi, the manufacturer of the Allegra brand of allergy products, recently unveiled a navigation tool designed to steer outdoor enthusiasts toward real-time walking, biking and running routes with cleaner air.

The app, called Allegra Airways, uses hyperlocal data on pollen and air pollution levels on a street-by-street basis. The product was developed in collaboration with climate and environmental data intelligence technology company Ambee. The software allows users to input their start and end destinations and calculate the cleanest routes based on real-time pollen concentrations and air pollution data. According to Allegra Airways, the air people breathe contains countless particles of pollen and air pollution, which together can pose an everyday health risk and exacerbate allergy symptoms by 300%.
